As you may already know Parlophone is one of the most important independent music labels of the world. What you may not know is that on the 17 of this month the label, just for the celebration of the Record Store Day is to release 12 (and counting) seven inch singles limited to 1000 copies each. These copies will be sold only from independent music stores mainly in the USA and from selected ones all over the world. The series features tracks by Babyshambles, The Beatles, Danger Mouse & Sparklehorse, Chiddy Bang, Hot Chip, Bat For Lashes, Jonsi, Lily Allen, Pet Shop Boys and more.

Just for your information the Record Store Day is an idea  conceived by Chris Brown in 2007 "as a celebration of the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the USA, and hundreds of similar stores internationally", as the official web site of RSD states.
